As classes begin across the country this fall, 35 former Olive-Harvey student-athletes will showcase their talents at various four year colleges and universities.

The group represents six sports, led by baseball with 16 student-athletes moving on. Volleyball contributed seven transfers, while the men's and women's basketball programs each produced four. Men's and women's track and field added two student-athletes apiece.

The Panthers' signees earned opportunities at institutions competing in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA athletics. Five student-athletes will play at NCAA Division I programs, including Chicago State University, Florida A&M University, Coppin State University, and the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff.

Among the Panthers thriving at the next level is former women's basketball standout Khaniah Gardner, who made an immediate impact during her first season at Arkansas Pine Bluff. Gardner appeared in 24 games, averaging 24.6 minutes, 10.0 points, and 7.3 rebounds per game, continuing the success she established under award winning Head Coach Jeff Dillard at Olive-Harvey.

The accomplishment reflects the strength of Olive-Harvey's athletic programs under the leadership of Director of Athletics Robert Fletcher. From NCAA Division I opportunities to successful placements throughout the NCAA and other collegiate levels, the Panthers continue to demonstrate that Olive-Harvey and City Colleges of Chicago are a launching pad for success.
